This script is in reference to a proposal for a scientific datestamp.

The time used is on the 24 hour clock, however you can enter a time in the 12 hour clock. E.G. 5/29/2008 7:59PM. If there is an error, the script will default to today's date.

You are free to use it for any personal or commercial project. I'm sharing this in the hope that it will eventually be adopted as an alternative to the confusing and inconsistent date standards used in scientific literature.
